About Sterlington
History
Sterlington, in Northern Ouachita Parish bordered by Union Parish and Morehouse Parish, was incorporated on August 15, 1961, and held the first town hall meeting September 11, 1961. Sterlington is a Lawrason Act Community governed by an elected Mayor and Board of Aldermen.
Schools
Sterlington is part of the Ouachita Parish School System consisting of Sterlington Elementary School, Sterlington Middle School, and Sterlington High School.
Worship
Our houses of worship include: Sterlington Holiness Tabernacle, First Baptist Church Sterlington, The Pentecostals of Sterlington, Sterlington Church of Christ, Foundry, Gateway Assembly, and Christ Church – Sterlington.
